Newly pierced

I have to share the exciting day in the Kubaskie house. I was talking with my cousin Becca and Layna (our god-daughter) was at her house. I hear Layna in the background yelling "I wanna tell Chelle what I did today" so Layna got on the phone said "Chelle, I got my ears pierced today" She was so excited. So of course the next words out of her mouth were "I wanna tell Teagie". So this is where the title of my blog starts. Well we hung up with Layna and Becca and Teagan said "I want to get my ears pierced today too" (I never thought she'd go through with it). So we went to Wal-Mart to get some groceries for supper tonight and Teagan and I made a stop at the Jewelery counter.

We picked out the earrings and they marked her ears with a marker and 1...2...3... pop and they were both in.(I'm so glad they had 2 ladies working so both ears could be done at once) I thought for sure the waterworks would start, but nope. Her eyes got huge and she said "Ohhhh, that hurt a little bit". No tears, no screaming, no nothing. Other than a very excited little girl who looked in every mirror we went past and told anyone who would listen that "I got my ears pierced today"

So my Aunt Luanne, Uncle Mark, Becca, and Layna came over for supper tonight, the kids ran around and played. Of course I had to snap a few pictures of my newly pierced girls.





I also had a very nice surprise when I woke up this morning. I had a dozen red roses on the table with a beautiful card. My hubby is such a sweetheart.



And I thought I wouldn't have anything exciting to blog about until next weekend when we go to the Dells.
