Meet Cooper

We have a new 4 legged addition to the Kubaskie household. On Friday I worked part of a day shift on 9th floor, (which was an awesome day, hope my next shift up there is as good) after I got done with work I checked my messages on my phone and I had a picture from Craig of this adorable little Jack Russel Terrier puppy. So I called Craig and told him I would meet him and the kids in Tomah to take a look at the puppy. As soon as we saw him we were in love. Cooper wasn't the dog I had in mind when we started talking about a getting a dog. I was set on getting a very little long haired puppy. But when we met Cooper and saw how wonderful he was with the kids and how loving and playful he was we knew he needed to be part of our family. So we got all the necessities for a puppy and then went back and picked him up.

It took us a little while to figure what we should name him. We started with Corbin, but decided that he was more of a Cooper. Cooper is adjusting amazingly well to being with us. He's house broken already and we've had no accidents. He sleeps all night in his kennel with no whining or barking. We've taught him to sit and lay down already. He also loves to play fetch. Right now he's sleeping in my lap. After my last dog died I was pretty sure I was never going to get another dog. But I think that Cooper is going to be a wonderful new addition to our family.

I think Craig was more excited than the kids to get Cooper. He's wanted to get a dog for a very long time and I've always said no because of my allergies and because I just didn't want to deal with a dog. But thus far my allergies haven't been an issue at all. Which is amazing. Lets hope it stays that way.
