Happy Belated Birthday Teagan Elizabeth

I'm a little late on wishing Teagan a happy birthday, but better late than never. My baby girl turned 6 on July 28th. I don't know where those 6 years have gone. She's gone from a "little girl" to an independent, super smart, sassy, reading "big girl". She starts first grade in a few weeks. If you've been reading my blog you know how hard kindergarten was for me. Lets hope I do better with her starting first grade.

I remember very well the day I found out I was pregnant with her. I had just finished my first semester of nursing school and wanted to go out and celebrate but I was "late" and figured I'd better test just to be sure. Sure enough that little stick showed a very bright + sign so did the next 4 that I took. I knew I always wanted kids but wasn't so sure I was ready to be a Mom at 23. But ready or not she was coming. On Thursday July 28, 2004 I was blessed with a perfect beautiful 7 lbs 19 in baby girl. She was such a good baby. I wish I had pictures from when she was a baby on the computer, but I didn't have a digital camera yet then. So I'll have to share some from when she was a little older.

Teagan is a lot calmer than Noah, most days anyway. I love how she protects her little brother. It's ok for her to be mad at him and hit him, but if I punish him at all she's right there saying "You can't yell at my brother." She loves her "girls only days" with her Mom. Which this Mommy loves too. She's a tomboy, but she still loves being a "princess" too. I'm so blessed to have such a wonderful daughter. Her and I butt heads some days, I think because her and I are so alike but I wouldn't trade her sass and attitude for anything. She'll always be my baby girl no matter how old she is.
