Winter wonderland

Holy snow. Wow do have a lot of the white stuff. I'm guessing we got about 7-8 inches or so. As most of you know my plan was to stay in LaCrosse last night. Well I decided I didn't want to stay at the hospital so I was going to get a hotel room. Well I got onto Hwy 16 and it was plowed and not too bad, so I figured I would just keep going. Roads weren't great, but were ok until I got to the Monroe county line, right outside of Sparta. After that I don't think they had plowed at all. The roads were bad, but I wasn't going to turn around. I was kind of afraid I would get stuck if I tried to turn off onto any side road to turn around and I was over half way home. So I made it home at 0125. I've driven on worse roads, but it still wasn't fun. I'm glad I made it home though, the kids were super excited that I was home when they got up this morning, which totally made my day. We got to play outside while Craig shoveled and used the snow blower. Of course I have some pictures to add.

So I've decided I'm going to have a lazy, stay in my pj's until I have to go to work this afternoon in Tomah. I'm going to enjoy my snuggle time and my hot chocolate with marshmuscles. I hope everyone else is enjoying their snowy snowy day.

Glad to hear you made it home safely, I was wondering what you ended up doing. Love the pictures, especially the one of the kids holding hands, precious. Enjoy your lazy morning and hope your afternoon isn't too busy. I see Noah isn't wearing pink snow boots anymore, how funny.

Craig said it was ESSENTIAL that Noah get some non-pink boots. I told my cousin that when Noah starts dating I'm going to break out the pics of him in pink boots.
