2pm today....We officially become home owners. I'm very excited to actually own our own house, but at the same time I'm terrified that we won't find anyone to rent our house and I really really don't want to have to keep paying rent until Nov on a house we don't live in. So please say an extra prayer that we are able to find someone soon to rent our house.
It's going to be a very busy summer for us. Between working as many hours as I possibly can to pay a house payment and rent for awhile and working on getting the new house move in ready and cleaning the house we are in now I'm going to be exhausted. It'll all be worth it when it's done though. I told Craig that we when started with the bid on this house that if it was meant to be it would all just fall into place for us. I have faith that finding a renter will be the same. It seems like everything we've ever done has been kind of spur of the moment and it just all falls into place. I don't think we'd know what to do with ourselves if we actually planned something.
I will have to take some pictures today when we are at the house. I can't wait to do the before and after shots. We had our appraisal at the house and by just adding the few things that we are doing before we move in (new roof, garage door, new flooring) we are adding $33,000 to the value of the house from what we are paying for it. We will also redo the kitchen and bathroom, hopefully sooner than later which will add some more equity to the house. I really think that we are making a good financial investment. Plus we get the $8,000 tax rebate with our taxes for this year for being first time home buyers.
Well I'd better get the kids and myself ready. Craig is getting done early so we can drop the kids off at my Dad's house while we sign the papers. I will update again soon.
On a little side note, I think I broke my little toe on my right foot. I was playing soccer with the kids outside yesterday and I went to kick the ball and caught my toe on the corner of the cement step by our front door. Of course I was wearing my flip flops. It's all purple and bruised and hurts like crazy. I felt like an idiot limping last night at work. Hopefully it'll heel fast.
Ok, I really will quite writing soon, but I just talked to my Dad and apparently a new bear and her cub have taken up residency behind my Dad's house. My uncle got pictures of them. This bear is a cinnamon brown bear. Which I guess is really rare to have around this area. Having a female and a cub kind of scares me though. They can be really really mean if you get between her and her cub. Hopefully it doesn't come around when the kids are outside. There is also another big male black bear that has lived around my Dad's for the last 8 years or so. He's getting pretty big. I'm hoping I get to see them again this year, but only from a distance. A few years ago he was right outside my Dad's living room window.
Ok, I'm posting now so I don't find more things to keep rambling on about.
