Where did summer go?

I can't believe we are down to the final 2 weeks of summer. We've had another amazing summer, we've done so many fun things. I've got a ton of great summer pics to put into a photobook.

Today Craig was busy working on fixing a hole in our 100 year old church's foundation. So the kids and I kidnapped Becca and Layna for the day and headed to LaCrosse. We went to Kids Coulee first before the rain hit, then to the Children's Museum. Layna had never been to either of them before and she was super excited. The kids were so good today. It such a wonderful day. I love it when they all listen and play nice together. Here are a few pictures from today. The kids were completely wore out when we got home. Noah was sound asleep by 7pm and Teagan crashed around 8pm. I should be going to bed soon, but I'm enjoying the quiet and peacefulness of being the only one awake.

On Monday we are heading to Green Lake for an overnight trip to visit my Mom. Becca and Layna are coming with us to Green Lake too. So hopefully it'll be a great trip. The ride down will probably get a little long, but I'm hoping to leave very early Monday morning so that the kids will maybe go back to sleep on the way down.I've got Becca convinced to go the Dartford Cemetery with me while we are there. So we'll see if that works out. I'm sure I'll have more pictures to share. I always get such great pics when we are down there.

I'm still not anymore ready for Teagan to start kindergarten, but she's so excited about it. It's all she can talk about. I hope the transition won't be too difficult for all of us. As much as I'm not ready for summer to be over, I am getting excited for fall. I love all the fall decorations and colors. I just wish we could skip winter and go right back to spring again.

Well I'm going to head to bed. I'm exhausted. I'll try to be a better blogger.

I think the transition will be harder for you and I, then it will be for the girls. Let me know when you go through the separation anxiety, maybe we should do lunch or a shopping trip to help with that. Glad to hear Teagan is excited, so is Becca. Take care.
